fairytattgirl 10 Report post Posted June 26, 2017 So I have self diagnosed myself after reading the symptoms of aspergers and puzzled why not teacher never picked up on a problem until I was 11. Even then I was not diagnosed. I know I showed signs back in my early school days. The usual not mixing withbothers, be highly bright with reciting rhymes and recogising it time to be picked up when I wasnt even two. Despite these skills I didn't know to speak when spoken to, do my shoes and when it came to read a clock I couldn't do it. Just curious about when aspersgers was better known and if anyone feels not cheated but like damn they should've seen
PandaPrincess 1,433 Report post Posted July 18, 2017 Well, if you're a girl, it seems like the signs aren't often picked up on, and sometimes, they can be mistaken for something else, like being shy or ADHD or something else. It seems like girls are often diagnosed later, if they are diagnosed at all.
