For my future, I want to migrate out of the United Kingdom. I aim to go to Japan for cultural difference but a road block is learning the language and having the information sunk into my mind like my normal language. I do enjoy the aspect of trying a new language (as i tried to learn french at school but I wasn't passionate about the country or culture) but for the information to sink in and to pile more of the language in my head to make it fluent, it seems difficult. Now, my aspergers is also another road block as I am very shy and nervous. Meaning, trying to communicate with someone while having the fear of messing up the words and so on make me somewhat scared. Even trying to remember and say the words to a family member to test myself and get the words to sink in is difficult. Have any of you tried to learn a new language and if so, was it a success? And any tips for me to advance forward and to get more confidence?

As a mother of a teen with asperger's, I have to say that it was a total surprise just how amazing these people can use their brain! When she was 9, her new teacher told me that she enjoyed doing the puzzles in the classroom. So I bought her a 100-piece set and she had it done the same day! So, after a couple, I bought her a 500-piece puzzle. I was worried that it would frustrate her, but I needed to try. She put it together within a week! She worked at it tirelessly everyday after school and enjoyed it. I asked her how she knew where the pieces went, and she said she could see it just from looking at the box cover! Us people like to separate out the border, right? She didn't need to. She though that method was just confusing and weird. She would start anywhere in the picture. After that, it was puzzle after puzzle until she started playing Pokemon games on her Nintendo DS. I can't tell you how much that let her exercise her brain as well! She figured out puzzles in that game as well. I tried a few, gave up after a couple hours, then she came in and said it was easy. Five minutes later, she was through the puzzle! She hands it back with a simple, "Here you go." Definitely let these kids exercise that brain - you never know where their talent may be. Thanks.

hello i'm very interested in maths (and science) and i am currently doing my A-Level at college - i was wondering is any one else is doing these subjects and maybe we can post here about things in class we have truble with and help each other out? the one thing i can do is maths and science, and i'm proud of that fact. and i want to help people who struggle a little and also be able to ask/talk about things like this. ithere is another post for science, aswell as another thread in general descution more for asking questions about curiositys eg. how do magnets work? how can geckoes stay stuck to the walls? so i'm looking forward to helping thost that struggle - those struggling with me and i hope that maye there are some university studants/graduates who can go in to great detail about some topics?
