  1. I have had motor tics for almost two years now, I feel a little bit frustrated with them as they are starting to affect my everyday functioning for example: I can't write sometimes as they affect my hands and I'm falling over more frequently as they have started to affect my legs. If you do have motor tics what kind of things have you found have helped you?

    Difficulty in managing Motor tics

in november of last year i got diagnosed with motor tics, they have been okay to deal with up until very recently,at school i feel like i should hold them in (which is something i shouldnt be doing as it makes them worse) due to an incident that happened in march which i dont want to go into too much detail about. usually i only have one types of tic where my head jerks to the side and my arm goes up but i had another one where my shoulders went up. I often find people are imitating my tics and it makes me feel really sad and uncomfterble when they do so as i cant control them if i hold them in for too long.

This is a problem that I have which appears to be getting somewhat persistent as time goes on. I first experienced tics near the start of last summer. I only have facial tics though and I find them hard to control. The main types that I have are rapid blinking of the eyes, weird movements with my eyebrows, mouth twitches and flaring my nostrils. They are becoming a bit more visible to people with some of my friends and classmates commenting on the weird facial spasms I have. My mum has also picked up on my excessive blinking and become very annoyed with it and told me to stop this "habit". But I cannot stop it and I don't know why I'm doing this. When I'm nervous, they become worse and are more frequent. Does anyone have or used to have something like this? If so, what can be done about it? :/
