I've never actually seen a Duck billed platypus before, now I think about it. I must go and google them! Haha. Has anyone ever owned a tortoise? My friend may be able to buy one but doesn't know much about level of care (obviously if she gets one she will research housing, nutrition etc)

Fixed.

The platypus is one of the few mammals to produce venom. Males have a pair of spurs on their hind limbs. The male's pair of spurs spits out a cocktail of venom that, while excruciatingly painful, is not lethal to most animals.
