Does anyone have any ideas as to what this sounds like...?

After weeks/ months of feeling tired all the time and then in the last two weeks, needing to go to for a wee what feels like all the time, I asked my mum to ring the doctors and see what they say.

They asked for urine test so we sent it in and it came back showing no signs of what we think it is and that is Diabetes but I have to go for a blood test next week just to double check.

I have been feeling tired and run down plus no energy since January now. I had a late night on Tuesday and it completely knocked me for six but it didn't use to effect me like this, yeah I would feel tired but not as tired as what I did.

So, here are the symptoms. I have also stupidly been looking on google and kinda scaring myself.

Tiredness

No energy

Needing to go for a wee all the time

Dry skin

Unusual weight loss

It is starting to worry me now. Also my legs have started aching now, I noticed that they have been aching whilst being at work and I wear steel toe capped boots but from yesterday they have carried on aching.

Any ideas? Does it sound like Diabetes?

The best theing is to wait for the results of the blood test, and the doctor will be able to advise you as to what it could be. It's a good sign that the urine test didn't show any signs of diabetes.

Wait for the results of the blood test to let you know for sure.

I was tested for diabetes once as well, because my mum thought I had, but I didn't. However, the test itself made me vomit and faint in response to it. I can't seem to deal with blood tests at all.

I think, these symptoms you have listed, can be present in many different conditions. Fatigue and no energy are definitely common in a lot of things, so it really could be anything... or nothing, and that you are just over-tired from work etc.

I think I may have hypothyroidism, but I'm too terrified to go to the doctor about this because of my fear of blood tests/anything medical!

Just go to the doctor and explain all your symptoms and have the blood test, they will most likely test for other things as well as diabetes, but because the urine test came back clear then I don't think it will be diabetes.

A clear sign of hypothyroidism is unexplained weight gain, I know this because I have it and have to take the pills for it for the rest of my life.

No, I don't have unexplained weight gain. But, I have unexplained weight loss! Maybe it could be hyperthyroidism then. There is also how cold I always am.

Maybe you should have a word with the doctor, that's what they get paid for, you should really get it sorted.

Yes. I should. I just have a horrible fear of even the doctor building, I can barely go inside so it'd take a long of preparation! :(

Get your mum to make an appointment for a weeks time or so and then prepare yourself, once you've done it you'll feel so much better and will have faced and conquered a fear and found out if anything is wrong or not.
