@Myrtonos Sorry, I forgot to filter my language on the above post, I should have written kind of bad instead of kind of shit. I forgot, it's hard for me because naturally, I use a lot of profanity but I will try not to forget and hopefully I won't.

I'll let you off that one, unless you want a response from me, or from someone who takes offense to it.

@Myrtonos Oh, no, I didn't want to trigger anything or offend anyone. I just forgot. Thank you for letting me off the hook with that one.

Not bad. I had a good workout at the monthly volunteering session at Foundry Wood nature reserve, where I cleared some goldenrod and waved at the trains going past on the Leamington-Coventry line. Had to take a cool shower as soon as I got home - evidently this hot summer hasn't gone away just yet. Afterwards I baked a recipe I haven't done for a while for "amazing cake", so-called because it is high in fibre and contains no eggs, sugar or butter but still tastes indulgent. And I've frozen some diced papaya (following Madeleine Greey's method for freezing mango chunks). I've also been catching up on TV & radio recordings, namely: Music Planet at WomadEat Well for Less?Natalie Haynes Stands Up for the ClassicsThe Essay: Cornerstones and Natural Histories.

My day has been okay so far. I've had some moments where I felt stressed. Like finding some changes in the forum and then thinking negatively about them and trying not to think of it too much and not trying to let it affect me. Or the actions of people too, trying not to let it affect me. Or trying to use the search option on the forum and it not working like it usually does for me and trying not let it affect me. Because although I probably wasted some moments of my life searching it and it not working I knew I had made this thread and this is the thread I was trying to post in. So finding it and seeing it's not closed lowered the stress for this scenario. I've gotten stressed and anxious by the neighbors making noise today but at least I've not cried and felt really down and suicidal like I sometimes do. It's been an okay day so far.

Been stressed out because a music teacher I'm subbing for for two days this week said that I can teach them an art lesson if I want since I do art, and it's stressful making lesson plans for it.  The reason I don't teach full time is because of how stressful lesson planning is.

Lesson planning is hard and it is difficult having to produce lesson plans for a different subject / topic at short notice, even if it's in your specialist subject. it's particularly hard for anyone with ASD who needs more time to prepare for change. Ideally you would be given more time to prepare or not have your timetable changed but a school may think that's not practical. I hope it went well for you.

@Sanctuary I have that job on Wednesday and Thursday.  It's optional for me to do my own lesson.  He's going to leave some regular plans, but said I can do art lessons if I want.  I just feel like it's an obligation to do it, because if I don't, then it might make me look lazy.

it's true that many supposed "choices" are not choices at all because we are expected to make one specific choice - in this case not doing the art lessons would probably be deemed as unambitious or unimaginative. In reality it's sometimes the right course of action to stick to a familiar course of action with the aim of doing it better, or only to follow a new path when  it's been fully prepared for. Sometimes we just have to go along with these expectations but it would be better if more consideration were offered and genuine choices provided where it's accepted there can be very good reasons for someone sticking to their current path.

Well, I am at my job right now, and the teacher came in this morning and told me to have them do worksheets that he printed out for them.  So we are doing those instead.  There aren't any art supplies in the room, so I couldn't do the lesson anyway.  I'm very relieved, to be honest.  I wish I hadn't worried about it so much before.
