I am 43. I was never diagnosed or treated. So aspergers and whatever else I have (diagnosis pending) were running wild and unchecked.

I had problems all through my life.

I know it's not my fault i have aspergers. But it doesn't stop me feeling guilty for the pain I have caused my parents.

Conditions such as aspergers were not widely known about in the 80s and 90s.

But there's nothing I can do to change the past.

Hey ho.

The future will be better.

Miss Chief

To be fair, there isn't really any treatment for AS/ASD, all you can do is try to find coping mechanisms, I would imagine you have done as well as you can in that regard.

I wasn't diagnosed until I was an adult either for the same reason as you.

I also recently got diagnosed with ADHD, which if anything has a bigger impact on my dysfunction but at least there are treatment options for that.
