Have you ever had a near death experience? If so, what was it like? What happened?

Well, I was in a car crash several years ago.  I hit the side of a semi-truck.  When I saw the semi-truck coming, I knew it was too late to do anything about it, and I thought, "oh crap, I'm dead."  I was lucky though and wasn't injured.  I just kind of froze up and didn't really have time to think.  A lot of people say that their life flashes through their mind, but that wasn't the case for me at all.   I just thought, "this is it.  It's over."

@PandaPrincess Was it a head on collision? Or what do you mean you saw it coming? Was it coming towards you?

@RiRi I hit the semi while the semi was passing, so I T-boned it.  The impact made my car spin around, and it crushed the front of it.  I was okay though.

I was knocked down by a van reversing on a pedestrian area. I was down, directly behind the van and could see the van's reversing lights on... I didn't know whether the driver was aware that he had hit me or not, or whether he would continue to reverse onto me. Luckily he had seen me, and another guy in a shop had also seen me. I didn't really have time to be aware of or process any emotion at the time, I just kind of thought, oh, is this it?

I had a pretty scary moment on a water slide one time when my head was submerged under water for a few seconds while a big group of kids passed because I was going down slower, and I thought I was going to die for a few seconds. Fortunately everything worked out and I was able to make it down the slide safely.  It was a grade 7 class trip, I would have been 12 almost 13.  The rest of the trip I just hung out in the water area where the little kids were and people who not as big on the rides but with others who were more into them.

I did have difficulty breathing a few years ago and rung an ambulance. I was technically in a coma for 2 days. Apparently I did get up to go to the toilet a couple of times on the Wednesday and Thursday and was awake briefly at those times but I didn't remember those 2 days at all. I also thought I was drowning during a swimming lesson aged about 7 but I guess if I hadn't floated back up the instructor would have jumped in anyway. Another time I fell backwards off a ladder and had to fall against the latch for the door in the ceiling. That was close!

That sounds scary. Were you facing the van? There was a video years ago about this little Chinese girl who was ran over, some people in the comment alleged it was on purpose and looking back at the video carefully, it seems like it was. Then she was ran over again and no one did anything to help her. She died. Have you seen the video?

I'm glad the other guy saw you because when this happens, I believe it allows less room for someone to do something wrong (in this case ran you over), so long as the other person is not an accomplice in the crime.

This is what I mean, minute 1:25.

No, and I wish I hadn't seen that video. It made me feel physically sick.

The van was coming at me from my side, but I could see it. It didn't run over me, it just knocked me down.

Wow. I do wonder why people don't see when they're backing out or why they don't back out slowly so as to avoid these kind of things from happening, if you fell it must have been a strong impact.

Yes, sorry, there is blood in the video.
