I Have Done It Again !

This thread only just came to my attention, so sorry if this is a little late.

Just to clarify a few things:

  • Asperclick is an international English-speaking forum for those with or those affected by Asperger's syndrome (or high functioning autism/similar). If the user base is currently predominately British (not sure on that, to be honest!), that's just coincidence.
  • Kaygee: You've already admitted (and more importantly apologized! :)) for disrupting Andy's thread - great.
  • Andy & Kaygee: Might I suggest you maybe try and clear the slate between yourselves? You're not benefiting anyone else or yourselves by taking stabs at each other. You're both here for support, advice (or to give support and advice to others) and friendship and your inability to move past your differences is hindering you. I don't expect everyone to like each other, or even get a long - but this back-and-forth between you both (now over multiple threads) is.. well... pointless!

Maybe I'm a little late with this, maybe things have cooled off by now - but still, just bear in mind what I've said. :)

Yes you are and to come here now wading about after everything has cooled is a little bit authoritarian

And I will just do my best to avoid what I don't like through the power of ignore.

In what way have I come across authoritarian?

And good! That's all we wanted. :)

Because everything has cooled and you come here late and lay down the law, when really, perhaps it would have been better to just let it go.

No law has been laid down. I haven't banned either of you, told you to stop posting, removed or edited posts, locked the thread. Nothing of the sort - nor will I.

What I said, any member could have said (and they would have been welcome to...).

All I'm interested in is helping yourself and Kaygee. If you want me to "butt-out", then that's fine. :P

My friends, I have come to the sad realisation that the friends I had have moved on and I must also move on or else be left behind. But they are all full of confidence and self belief, where I am perhaps because of my medical stuff actually declining and I guess confident people don't want wet lettuces around them, of which I have become.

They turned up on wednesday but told me they were meeting with the others so our socialising will be brief and it was my sense was they could not wait to get away from me.

And last night, it seems the ex mental health nurse has done well with what he said  for last night of the two that had upset me one I got a greetings hug and glad to have me back and the one that had made fun of me in front of ours said he did not mean it and didn't realise I had autism and that my thinking might be different on the matter and so he apologises. I said apology accepted but don't expect things to go back to normal straight away for trust with me is earned and a lesson for he, he should never take for granted everyone is as himself in society and where I will get angry, shout and then storm off others resort to violence when they are frustrated and violence can lead anywhere.

But we shall see what happens where I do feel like a big chunk has been taken out of y existence and things will never be quite the same again.

But I need to get a job to open up new horizons as like this, well this is it and I am not happy with it.

Well at least they turned up and you've been apologised to, so that's got to be better than nothing at all and you're not a wet lettuce at all, far from it :D.  You'll just have to play things by ear and see what happens, at least you aren't looking at it with too much negativity and you're open to the idea of new horizons :D
